About A Wiser World
About the founder of A Wiser World
A Wiser World is run by Emil Alexander. He has a professional background as a clinical psychologist and organizational development professional, and for a short while also as web developer and research assistant. He started working on the task of creating a unified theory of psychology in 2009 when he started studying psychology at Uppsala university, and a unified theory of politics in 2012. The two tasks eventually intertwined and took the form of the project that is now A Wiser World. Aside from his work experiences, the project has also been greatly influenced by his studies in physics, mathematics, sociology and philosophy.
The core values guiding this project
We are stronger when we work together. The bigger the challenge, the more crucial is a collaboration between people with different skills and perspectives. Community and collaboration is therefore one of the core values of A Wiser World.
Collaboration requires openness. Organizations that are transparent make it possible for people to understand and improve the way an organization operates. Openness is also a pillar of scientific and philosophical progress. For such endeavors, truth is the only thing that matters, not authority. The only way to evaluate the correctness of a scientific or philosophical theory is to evaluate it against the data and arguments. For these reasons, radical openness is another core value of A Wiser World.
To maximize the spread of the ideas that are developed on A Wiser World it is important for the material to be accessible. If it can only be accessed by buying a physical book, or is behind a pay-wall, only people with certain economic resources will be able to take part of the information presented on A Wiser World.
